  1. Firstly let me apologize for the lateness of organizational
  2. details for the Interop meeting. We were failed by the list
  3. at the end of the day which stopped any email finding its
  4. way to WinSock folks. There will therefore be people who'd
  5. like to be at Interop but can't be because of how late 
  6. they learnt about the event. Fear not. We will publish a
  7. revised framework & requirements document after that event
  8. which we will give folks a chance to comment on before we all
  9. start executing on it.
  10.  
  11. Because of the vast number of requests for functionality
  12. additions we've had for WinSock 2 we'd like to focus on creating
  13. a sensible operating framework for making WinSock 2 happen.
  14. At the same time we don't want to have a kitchen sink WinSock 2.
  15. So we need a framework that allows us to make good decisions
  16. about what we want to do and how we want to do it.
  17. Everyone's input to this is very important in making sure
  18. we have the best possible chance of delivering a WinSock 2
  19. spec. To that end we'd like the agenda for the Interop
  20. WinSock 2 meeting to be as follows:
